Grants Available for Full-Service Community Schools

Education secretary announces 45 grant programs for the 2023 fiscal year.

The Department of Education recently opened up $73.8 million in grant funding for Full Service Community Schools. The funding will be distributed through 45 competitive grants, helping these schools implement access to tutoring, mental health services, and food programs for the 2023 fiscal year. The department will choose grant recipients based on the quality of their previous program implementation.

“Full-service community schools embrace the role that schools play as the trusted center of our communities, and build on that role by offering students and families access to wraparound supports and services, from tutoring and mental health counseling to nutrition assistance, violence prevention, and more,” said Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Cardona to seek God’s wisdom as he heads the Education Department.
  • For prudence for U.S. education officials as they award grants to community schools.
  • For teachers, tutors, counselors, and nutritionists serving in the nation’s public schools.
